About Michaela
I work with individuals who have known deep pain—those navigating the aftermath of complex trauma, difficult relationships, and a long struggle with self-worth. If you carry invisible wounds from past experiences, you don’t have to face them alone. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in deep respect for where you are in your healing journey.
I believe healing happens not just through insight, but through connection—when we are truly seen and not judged. My clinical background includes inpatient work at The Ross Institute for Trauma, as well as private practice and safe-house settings. I specialize in Complex PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and other trauma-related conditions. I am certified in Dr. Colin Ross’s Trauma Model and draw from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and somatic frameworks.
Therapy is about helping you reclaim the parts of yourself that have had to hide, cope, or disappear just to survive. Together, we make space for the emotions stored in the body, the narratives that shaped you, and the relationships that still leave echoes. I see therapy as a collaborative and sacred space—one that allows for both safety and depth.
You are welcome here. Whether you feel fragmented or frozen, overwhelmed or numb, your story matters. And healing is possible.

I am a trauma-informed therapist. This means that I have trained through professional programs that enable me to understand how trauma affects the body and the mind. I often use elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and ego state therapy which means that I use language and techniques with you that will explore the various parts of who you are and their various needs. As a psychodynamic therapist, I may look at how your past and attachment wounds impact your present distress and behavior. I can also provide EMDR which is an effective form of processing troubling memories and other intrusive symptoms (a modified version of EMDR is available for dissociative clients if conditions are safe). I incorporate insights from neuropsychology to support emotion regulation and ease distressing symptoms.

Email is the best way to contact me. Write to me and let me know that you are interested and any questions you may have. From there, we can set up a free 15 minute consultation time (you can also choose to book your intake session with me without this step). If you decide we are a good fit, we will pick a time to meet. I will send you some electronic forms to sign online and you will be good to go!
